ROACH PREP

GERMAN COCKROACH TREATMENT PREPARATION SHEET

Congratulations! You have just completed the first step toward successful bed bug eradication by hiring a reputable, experienced, professional pest control company that stands behind every eradication they perform. Hinkle Termite & Pest Control LLC (HTP) appreciates your business.

TERMS:

  1. HTP must have a positive identification of the kind of roach.
  2. Do NOT use any over the counter products or procedures to try to rid yourself of German Cockroaches. Our experience has demonstrated repeatedly that often well-intentioned attempts will make our job more difficult. German roaches are resistant to many over-the-counter products and we have seen them scattered and prospering as people try to “fight them themselves.”
  3. In cockroach control, sanitation is essential. The following steps MUST be taken before HTP will preform a cockroach treatment. An additional fee will be assessed if preparation is incomplete and it is necessary to reschedule our appointment.

PREPARATION:

  1. The kitchen should be cleaned thoroughly, including floor, stove, range hood and counter tops. Clean inside and outside of dishwasher. (Please DO NOT pull out the refrigerator, stove or dishwasher. Your technician will treat those areas.)
  2. Everything MUST be removed from kitchen cupboards and drawers, above and below the sink and countertops should be cleaned.
  3. Wipe cupboards inside and out, wipe out drawers with damp rag. Items may need to be covered with a newspaper or a sheet.
  4. Bathroom cabinets, drawers and under sink should be cleaned out. Wipe out cabinets inside and out, wipe out drawers with damp rag, clean sink, tub and toilet.
  5. Pick up and remove trash inside and outside.
  6. Fish tanks should be covered or removed.
  7. Children’s toys and pet food dishes and exposed food should be removed or placed in a container with a lid that seals.

DURING THE TREATMENT:

No people or pets are allowed in the home or apartment during treatment and for a minimum of 4 hours following the treatment. This will allow treated areas time to dry.

AFTER FIRST TREATMENT IS COMPLETE:

  1. Thoroughly wash (with soap and water) all exposed eating surfaces (including table and countertops, and exposed dishes or silverware). Do NOT wipe out the insides of cabinets or drawers. In roach control, sanitation is ESSENTIAL.
  2. Do not leave empty milk or beverage bottles setting around. Keep areas under and behind stoves and refrigerators clean.
  3. Do not allow food and garbage to accumulate in areas where roaches feed or hide. Pet food should be stored in sealed containers.
  4. It is normal to see roaches for several days after treatment. It may take several days for roaches hiding in inaccessible areas to come in contact with treated areas.
  5. After 2-3 weeks, your house or apartment will be re-treated. It is usually NOT necessary to clear out cupboards for follow-up treatments.

GUARANTEE:

HTP roach eradication service is guaranteed for 30 days beyond our second service date. If live roaches are occurring beyond the 30 day guarantee period, HTP will charge for any additional services as an obvious re-infestation has occurred.
